Alberta Provincial Junior B Hockey Championship

The Alberta Provincial Junior B Hockey Championship is an annual tournament held between the top teams in each of the five Junior B hockey leagues in Alberta, Canada. The champion wins the Russ Barnes Trophy and goes on to face the other provincial winners for the Keystone Cup, the Western Canadian Junior B Championship. The Alberta provincials have been held every season since 1979.
The 2006 Alberta Champions are the Red Deer Vipers of the Heritage Junior B Hockey League.

Eight teams compete for the Alberta Provincials. The two largest leagues send two teams each, the remaining three send one, while the host team is guaranteed a berth. The 2005-06 qualifiers were as follows:
