Alexander Vasilyevich Tkachev (alternate spellings: Alexander Tkachyov or Alexander Tkatchev; Russian:Александр Васильевич Ткачёв) (b.October 4, 1957 in Semiluki, Voronezh Oblast, Russian SFSR) was a Soviet/Russian gymnast, two times Olympic Champion. He trained in Dynamo, Voronezh. His trainer was the Honoured Trainer of the USSR Pyotr Fyodorovich Korchagin. Tkachev was one of the world's strongest gymnasts between 1977 and 1981.
