Alexander M.M. Hallett (born May 10, 1985), is an American rapper recording under the name "Alexipharmic". He was raised in the Pacific Northwest as the son of "blue-collar, hardworking parents". As a recording artist, Alexipharmic is best known for his 2006 debut LP Run, as well as his humanitarian efforts to help the victims of genocide in the Darfur region of the Sudan. 50% of all the money made by Alexipharmic musically has gone to charity (http://www.savedarfur.org), and in a recent interview he said it would, "stay that way permanently."
Alexipharmic attributes his "steady rise into the public eye" to what he considers "socially conscious and empowering messages in (his) lyrics, coupled with (his) trademark raw, grizzled vocal flow that resonates uniquely." How or with whom it resonates is unknown. It has been reported that Alexipharmic is at work with producers Budo, InFekt, Doctype, and Sarx amongst others to create his next album, which he plans to title American Beauty - presumably as a reference to either the Grateful Dead album or Sam Mendes film, both of which carry the same name.
