Amy Lee is an independent wrestler who wrestles in multiple promotions in the Northeastern region of the U.S. She currently has a gimmick of biker chick.
Amy Lee Murray began studying Urban GoJu Karate (a/k/a GoJu Ryu) on May 9, 1977, under the guidance of Master Ric Pascetta and Grand Master Peter Urban. During her career. she competed in several tournaments throughout the world such as Italy, Spain and Canada placing in the top three of her class/level. Amy Lee has received many titles and awards in/outside the DoJo. She has clipped many prominent world/national martial arts competition titles along herway.
Some of those accomplishments were winning the all around at the 1990 Garden State Championships in her home state, New Jersey, and becoming the youngest United Martial Arts Referee Association’s referee (age 16), but her proudest accomplishment is becoming the first female black belt in American GoJu Karate at age 16. AmyLee had to wait four (4) years before testing for her black belt to due the maturity/responsibility that a black belts carries. Amy Lee has a 3rd degree black belt in Goju Ryu and is currently studying toward Master level.
AmyLee has had the privilege of training with such knowledgeable martial artists as Joe Lewis, Benny “the Jet” Rodriguez, Michael DiPasquale and “Superfoot” Bill Wallace. She has also been teaching GoJu since 1980. She was one of the youngest “cadres” (term used for under black belt assistant instructors) and at that time assisted with teaching police officers, adults as well as children. She is currently a 3rd Dan in GoJu and has begun studying for her Master’s level.
In 2002, AmyLee began her training in Soo Bak Do and Jui Jitsu under the tutelage of Jim Fortunato. In her short period of time training, she has become a Leadership Team graduate and member and won the 2002 North American Grappling Association’s (NAGA) Women’s Super Heavyweight Grappling Division. She currently teaches at Fortunato Karate and enjoys sharing her experiences with her younger fellow Dojang brothers and sisters.
AmyLee has been in martial arts for 27 years. Why so long? Because AmyLee enjoys sharing with others the many wonderful opportunities that she has experienced as well as her knowledge gained throughout her career/life. You are never too old to learn and that is why she has expanded onto Jui Jitsu and Soo Bak Do. AmyLee thinks of life as a recipe, the more wonderful things you put into it, the better/sweeter tasting it will be.
Amy Lee has a 3rd degree black belt in Goju wherein has taught police officers self-defense tactics as well as work with the battered wives shelters. She has clipped many prominent world/national martial arts competition titles along her way.
She has been a professional wrestler since 1990. AmyLee was trained in professional wrestling by Dick Murdoch and Art Palmer. Ironically, Art Palmer also has a martial arts background. Amy Lee has managed many wrestlers in her 11 years of pro wrestling such as: Eddie Gilbert, Dick Murdoch, Kimayla, "Iron" Mike Sharpe, S.D. "Special Delivery" Jones and Sergeant Slaughter. She has worked for many promotions such as; USWA, NWA, GLOW, DWOW, WEW, NWS WWA, WWWA, LAWW, UWC, WWC.
