Arie Haan

Arie Haan (born November 16, 1948 in Finsterwolde) is a Dutch football manager and a former player, who scored 6 goals in 35 matches for the famous Dutch national squad of the 1970s. At club level he enjoyed a successful career with AFC Ajax, R.S.C. Anderlecht, Standard Liège and PSV Eindhoven.
His most famous goal was a 40 yard strike in Holland's match against Italy in the second group stage of the 1978 FIFA World Cup which helped the Dutch progress to the final.
Since retiring as a player, Haan has experienced a varied managerial career with many clubs in Belgium, Germany, Greece and his native Holland as well as brief spells in Austria and Iran. He coached the Chinese national team for two years and is currently manager of the Cameroon national side.
