Ashley Cooper (singer)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Ashley Cooper (born February 23, 1988 in Cambridge, New Zealand) is a singer who rose to popularity after placing eighth on season 2 of NZ Idol. After being eliminated on idol, she went back to school but dropped out again. She released her first single 'I Want You', which debuted at 19 and peaked at number 11 only to be deleted from the physical sales list the following week. The television airplay for the song was very weak as C4's Select Live kept the song on rotation for only eight weeks (the average run is 10-12 weeks) and Juice TV rarely played. It also received very rare airplays from radio stations. Ashley is now taking a break from singing because of all 'the pressures of idol' and is working at a cafe.
