Bill Faison

Bill Faison is a Democratic member of the North Carolina General Assembly representing the state's 50th House district, including constituents in Caswell and Orange Counties. An attorney from Efland, North Carolina, Faison is currently (2005-06 session) serving in his first term in the NC State House of Representatives.
Rumors circulate around Faison as a potential candidate for Governor in 2008. He has also made public his designs on the speakership of the North Carolina House. Faison declared that he would be a candidate for Speaker when the 2007 Legislative Session opens whether embattled House Speaker Jim Black is in the race or not.
Faison made a name for himself as a personal injury lawyer, building one of the largest firms in the state -- Faison & Gillespie, located in Durham, North Carolina.
