Blocos
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Street Bands and Groups are the main popular expression in Rio de Janeiro Carnival, in Brazil, and are called blocos.
These demonstrations are mixed under the term "Street Carnival", term that still includes the Bandstands and the Parades at Rio Branco Avenue (the economic heart of Rio de Janeiro), and happen during a period of 2 to 3 months (beginning before and finishing after Carnival).
