My username doesn't actually refer to Boris Badenov from Rocky & Bullwinkle; I like that show but apparently I forget the male spy's last name at some point. My nym is short for Boris Broadside, an alter ego I made up on a whim in the late 1980s.
I am new to the business of contributing to Wikipedia though I have made use of it for quite a while. My educational background is in government and environmental science. My interests are pretty eclectic; I have been drawn to Wikipedia for its articles on music, theology, history (mainly Medieval and/or European history), biology, and medicine, among others.
The articles I intend to edit first are on several B-complex vitamins, some of which need some work. I am considering creating a new article on journalist and writer Tara Bahrampour, who wrote To See and See Again (ISBN 0520223543) about her life, including a visit to her childhood home in Iran.
