[edit] I-35E and I-35W
Thanks for splitting these. Now we have a separate article for every current Interstate. --SPUI (talk - don't use sorted stub templates!) 07:46, 8 January 2006 (UTC)
- Glad to help out! Besides, I drove 35W enough when I lived in Waco—it was the best route to DFW Airport—that I had to help out on that road. C.Fred 15:33, 8 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Endurance
Hey there
I was just gonna ask either Maden himself or Chris the winner from Season 3 since they both have blogs on myspace.com but found out that Vanetta was removed due to injury. I better put that in. Tom ended up being the first person to go to temple by himself.
Hope this helps y'all.

[edit] Capital Beltway Sign
This is now reflected by an update to the sign, but sorry I screwed that up in trying to fix it. I'm slowly learning this editing process. But yes, I believe the license would be "Copyrighted, free to use for any purpose" unless you see otherwise fit.
Capbw_2.gif: "This image was created by Bruce at www.pghbridges.com (http://pghbridges.com/hsotw/), and has allowed this image to be uploaded and displayed on Wikipedia. This is the Capital Beltway shield displayed under (most) I-495/I-95 shields along the Capital Beltway."
Yep, here is the exact email from him himself.

Hello, I was just asking if it would be okay with you if I put the Capital Beltway sign you made onto Wikipedia (for inclusion to the Capital Beltway article) and of course credit you or your site with it. Thanks,

[edit] I-95 exit list
Have you even looked at the articles like Interstate 95 in New York? --SPUI (talk - don't use sorted stub templates!) 23:07, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
- I linked directly to one of them on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/I-95 exit list. What more do you need? --SPUI (talk - don't use sorted stub templates!) 23:12, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
- In which browser did the TOC and length table overlap? It works fine for me in K-Meleon and IE. --SPUI (talk - don't use sorted stub templates!) 23:34, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, that's meant to have totals, but I'd like to verify several states against their data, as well as get a more precise figure for Maine, before adding totals. --SPUI (talk - don't use sorted stub templates!) 03:19, 5 March 2006 (UTC)
Uggh- either report to WP:AN/I (where we have a SPUI section) or WP:RPP. --Rschen7754 (talk - contribs) 04:40, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
- Reason why blocking him would be better- he's been subject to a ArbCom ruling and probation (see the WP:AN/I) and if we protect the page we can't edit it? (Well I can since I'm an admin, but still... )--Rschen7754 (talk - contribs) 04:45, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Reverting vandalism
Thanks for your vandal revert... just so you know it's good to put {{test1}} on their user talk page to warn them. If there is one, then there's {{test2}}. They do it enough, they get blocked. --Rschen7754 (talk - contribs) 05:18, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Question
I'm sure if I searched long and hard enough, that I could find the answer. But where would one go in order to lodge a complaint against another user? I'm sure I don't need to mention that it's SPUI who clearly doesn't obey any rules, regulations, or even care what anyone else says. That's what I feel is the problem, that there's no real hierarchy stated anywhere, like finding admins related to the article in question (in this case, I-95 exit list which I worked hard on and created almost all the state shields). If you could just point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it. Thanks. --MPD01605 22:58, 9 March 2006 (UTC)
- Please see WP:AN/I, we have a) a section on SPUI's behaviors there, b) a section regarding the blocking of two of the valued roads contributors, and c) a section on his mass CA page moves. --Rschen7754 (talk - contribs) 05:21, 10 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] NC routes
Anytime. I'm making shields on a need-to-make basis. I've also started three articles, if you'd like to check them out: NC 100, NC 86, and VA 86. I also created those stub templates, I just have some issues with them and the pictures, so that's why they're on top and not the bottom. If you need any shields, let me know. They'll be .PNG files until I take time to learn how to make .SVG's. Perhaps we should start a North Carolina and Virginia State Highway WikiProject? But yes, thank you. --MPD01605 22:46, 21 March 2006 (UTC)

I don't know if Texas and/or Louisiana allow this, but I know that Alabama does.

Discuss or send message as to why article was nominated for deletion when I have valid scientific, cultural, points. I don't see a need to use an encyclopedia. Some of my sources may contain references to many sources which is why I use them. [1] There are some other sources that I haven't gathered yet, I don't believe my article should be up for deletion. Someone on the Anklet page before I managed to edit it, wrote that the clining sound of anklets attracts attention. [edit] IKR1
I've been unable to explain to IKR1 (talk) why his article creations are inappropriate. I've pointed him to WP:N several times but he either does not understand this, has not read it, or does not think it applies to him. He's created a number of non-notable articles, one of which has failed AfD, one which was speedily deleted, another which is going to, and several which have been PROD'ed. But he keeps creating new articles. Could you have a shot? I'm not getting anywhere with this user. I suspect he's just stopped listening to me. --Yamla 22:40, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
- Thank you. Of course, if IKR's films are notable, he should definitely be allowed to keep them. Well, at least, someone other than IKR should be allowed to write articles about them. Heck, I'd even be happy for IKR to write an article on them. I fear, though, that his current films are more likely to receive a cease-and-desist letter from the copyright holders than for him to achieve widespread fame. That's not a legal threat, mind you. He at least has a case for parody. And I really do wish him fame and fortune in the future. I've seen M. Night Shamalan's (excuse the spelling) early stuff and it was no better. :) --Yamla 03:04, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] FSU Scholars Program
Hello Cfred!
You removed my prod from FSU Young Scholars Program. Another editor suggested in his edit summary that this program may not be notable and I couldn't find any policy on this so I started a discussion at Wikipedia:Village pump (policy). I'd appreciate your insight. --JChap 03:26, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Second prod for BM titles
How did you know there had been a previous prod for Brokeback Mountain titles? Just checking the edit history, or is there an easier way? I didn't think to check if there had been a previous one when I did it earlier. eaolson 17:05, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Second prod - Enaction, dicdef and a new user
C. Fred, I noticed you put a second prod tag on the article Enaction, written by Sankazim, a brand new editor. (I track the new users I welcome for a few days afterwards). The original tag's message: "This is a dicdef article that attempts to define a concept and fails" may be puzzling to a new user, especially the "dicdef" part. Also, while I think the article is both roughly written and a little jargony, it does go beyond being just a dictionary entry since it also describes research on enaction. New contributors sometimes need coaching; also they can get discouraged if they see their stuff shot down for what they think of as obscure reasons. You and/or Erik the Rude might consider coaching Sankazim a little on the talk page as to what you're looking for. I think it's better to improve articles with potentially useful content than it is to just delete it.

[edit] Mario Milano prod
On your prod2 on Mario Milano, you questioned him retiring at 17. Actually, 17 is when he made his debut. It's tough to tell by looking at the article, but if you go into the edit page, you can see the way the editor intended it to look with the 17 being more clear. Don't worry though, I thought the same thing as you did when I tagged it as {{db-bio}} until I noticed the debut thing when I went to edit in the tag. Metros232 14:47, 6 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Aurish Language
Hi. I see you added a {{prod2a}} tag to the Aurish Language article. The author has "improved" it and reflected your concern that there was no stated population of speakers by adding a statement that the number of speakers is "unknown, though expected to be extremely few" and removed the prod tag. As such I think it's still NN and probably just a vanity article of dubious, if any, encyclopædic value, so I've taken it to AfD, If you'd like to add to discussion there. Regards Tonywalton | Talk 10:25, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] External links on Interstate pages
Look, I'm not trying to "advertise" anything. I maintain pages about the Interstate system that are relevant to the respective Wikipedia articles, and as such, I feel there's no valid reason they shouldn't be included in external links sections. If my material wasn't relevant to the article, I wouldn't link to it -- simple as that.
I really ought not have to fight to have relevant, valid external material linked to from here. Honestly, if you have a problem with my material being added, you ought to have the same problem with most of the external links on Interstate pages -- and if you don't, that sort of indicates you're picking on me. --Larrysphatpage 07:29, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Christopher whatever his name is
Of course it's a hoax. I find that an administrator usually notices these things on AFD and deletes them within a day of the AFD launch. It shouldn't be too long and should be deleted before the PROD thing would've gotten it deleted. Mad Jack 00:04, 21 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Your near-vandalism on Diane Kunz
You can disagree with me as to whether a non-admin close of the AFD is justified. You can't just wipe my comments off the Afd and restore the vandalized text of the article. That's close to vandalism, and probably crossed the line. Why don't you just withdraw the AfD, since your comments were based on the vandalized form? There's zero doubt she's WP-BIO-notable as a published author and a news subject. VivianDarkbloom 20:20, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. VivianDarkbloom 22:48, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
- It is one thing to disagree about how to handle an unusual situation. It is quite another to repeatedly remove comments and opinions with which you disagree from an AfD discussion. To make false statements -- like the ones you made about the contents of the Amazon pages -- in those discussions. To delete references to links, sites, and searches which prove the falseness of your statements. I do not know why you are so determined to delete an article on a well-known woman whose work is highly regarded. VivianDarkbloom 22:48, 22 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Books at Amazon
How many percent of published books do you think are available at AmazonDoctor Bruno 13:18, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
Why there is no reply for this ???
I asked this question to make you realise that there are a lot of books that are not marketed by Amazon and just because a book is not in Amazon, you cannot tell that it is not notable
In my opinion, we have no right to delete articles regarding which we do not know anything
For example if there is an article about a French poet, just because I do not know him, can I delete the article. Such behaviour will result in Wikipedia becoming the encyclopedia for a group of guys rather than a global encyclopediaDoctor Bruno 05:56, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Gastric bypass diet
I see were you voted to have this redirected to the surgery page could you explain why as it makes no sense to get rid of very important article since surgery is one matter recovery is another. I am asking you to please reconsider your vote as this is too important to just get rid of. I have seen countless people after this operation get in terrible shape due to lack of knowing what to do after this operation.. Topnife (Talk | contribs) (→Gastric bypass diet - Clean out arbitrary and inappropriate patient.
This doctor could care less about nutrition. He has deleted the partial diet article on the gastric bypass surgery page. O yea this is what ya'll wanted this redirected too.
If you read the talk page on Gastric bypass diet his nutrition advice goes against everything published, so it really isn't good to trust a doctor without research. Now there is none on Wikipedia.....Cfred so if the article gets voted to redirect were is it going to be redirected too??
I know he was the culprit all along as he is upset I proved he was incorrect on his nutrition so he did what he did. Now there is nothing but a surgery page I feel this is wrong. The WP:PROD tag on this which you endorsed has been removed after someone added a few sources. I'm one of his good friends from California. Why can't I add this information as a personal communication? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 75.4.231.13 (talk • contribs) 16:24, 23 October 2006 (UTC).

[edit] I-74 exit list
The I-74 exit list is fine. But, I found a list to potential exits throughout the state on Duke Univ's site here. Do you think, with a major speculation notice, that we could add those potential exits to the list? Also, it would connect the two existing parts of the interstate. I want to, but I just wanted to see what your opinion would be. --MPD01605 (T / C) 17:10, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
- Ok, if I find the time, I'll format the list from Duke onto the talk page. Never know when it might come in handy. It's on the back burner right now; I'd like to start the I-77 and I-85 in NC articles and get them going first. Also, User:NE2 thwarted my last attempt at exit list formatting like you and I did on the I-40 NC exit list, and as you just did on the I-66 list. So keep an eye on those. See the Interstate 77 in Virginia history and its talk page for all that. He's moving into the NC articles now, so we will see a lot of changes that we may or may not like. That's one of the reasons I left the Virginia articles. I could get into other gripes, but I'd prefer not to do it here. Although I would like your opinion on Talk:North Carolina Highway System down at the bottom. But alright man, thanks for your help and opinions. --MPD01605 (T / C) 05:04, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Restoration Hardware
Hi.. Just wanted to let you know, that in retail, Mid-October equates to the holiday/christmas season, and all the toys/gadgets/stocking stuffers are in full swing. On a daily non-holiday basis, there are limited number of toys/gadgets.. aka: toys are non existent. Even now, the toys are in a special "GIFT" section, not in a regular "accessories" or "utilities" section. Gadgets however are more present now, and during off-season, are limited to one screwdriver, one or two flashlights and a few pocket reference tools. During the holiday season, the tool selection expands to include almost one hundred (or even more) tools and varieities of the same tools in different forms, packaging, and depending on the use. Toys are obviously present for the holiday season, but of course, disappear after December 24th. The 'toys and gadgets section' that you're referring to.. is not a regular section. Note that it has it's own banner with "Shop Our New Gift Catalog" on it. Check the website in January, and the banner will disappear, as will the "Gift" navigation button on the top between "Sale" and "Accessories". I've been with the company for about three years now, and I'm pretty sure the information I'm trying to provide to the public is nothing top-secret-confidential, nor inappropriate or inaccurate. I've seen the company change it's image and the frustration that many of my customers have when I have to turn them away and tell them, "No, we don't carry that anymore, only during the holidays." when referenced to toys, tools, and gadgets. But I see what you're trying to do about keeping the wikifile on it current with the website. Neyugnj 03:56, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] List of longest running U.S. cable television series
I think I'm about 36 hours away from turning User:B.Wind/TV list sandbox into List of longest running U.S. cable television series as I had a particularly fruitful editing session last night. Any feedback you have will be most appreciated (please feel free to edit - the list probably needs a fresh perspective from someone without dyslexia). If it all looks good to everybody, I'll trim the comments and move the rest on Tuesday (November 15) or Wednesday (November 16). B.Wind 11:22, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] I-5 Exit list help
I'm just having a formatting issue with the I-5 exit list in the California section. There's a thin column on the far right that I can't seem to get rid of it. Somewhere in overhauling 800 exits, I made an error and I just can't figure it out. Any ideas? --MPD01605 (T / C) 23:26, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
