[edit] NFL career
He was not drafted to the NFL but was signed by the San Francisco 49ers in 1999. He remained with that team for 2 years before moving to the Arizona Cardinals for a year and then to Houston to be the starter for the expansion team, the Houston Texans. Until Andre Johnson was named Offensive Player of the Week for Week 4 of the 2006 NFL season, Stanley was the only Texans player to ever be named Player of the Week. Not to be confused with Corey Bradford's Most Offensive Player of the week, given to players with offensive(insulting) play.

Stanley is the only player to ever hit the roof of Alltel Stadium in Jacksonville, Fla and Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Miss.
