Chelsi Smith

Chelsi Pearl Smith of Deer Park, Texas competed and won Miss USA 1995 as Miss Texas USA. She was ultimately crowned Miss Universe in 1995, in Windhoek, Namibia, the only Miss USA from Texas to date so honored.
Smith was the first American woman of biracial origin to win the Miss Texas USA, Miss USA, and Miss Universe title. She was the sixth Miss USA to be crowned Miss Universe, and the seventh woman from Texas to be crowned Miss USA,
Smith was also selected as Miss Congeniality in the Miss USA competition, the first and only Miss USA to win this award.
