Christine Fellows is a Canadian folk-pop singer-songwriter from Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Originally born in Windsor, Ontario and raised in France and Kelowna, British Columbia, Fellows had a variety of odd jobs, including planting trees during summers before finding her niche as a musician in Winnipeg.
In 1993, she formed her first group, Helen, which was reported to be the "next big thing" out of Winnipeg, but the band broke up. In 1996, Fellows teamed up with singer/songwriter Keri McTighe to form Special Fancy. The group released one album, King Me, before breaking up. Tired of failed attempts in the music business, Fellows finally broke through, releasing her debut album, 2 little birds, in 2000. In March 2002, Fellows released The Last One Standing on Six Shooter Records. Her last album Paper Anniversary was released in 2005 and included the cello of Leanne Zacharias.
The singer has won several awards, as well as the praise of fans and critics. She has also performed with the Rheostatics, Veda Hille, The Mountain Goats and The Weakerthans, and is married to The Weakerthans' lead singer, John K. Samson.
