Clay Target Center

The Clay Target Center at the Ben Avery Shooting Facility is owned and operated by the Arizona Game and Fish Department. The facility is a public shotgun-shooting facility in Phoenix, Arizona. The trap and skeet lines have recently been renovated. Renovation of the other trap and skeet fields and clubhouse will be done in late 2006 and early 2007. The Clay Target Center is managed by John Satterwhite, a four-time international skeet champion, former Olympic team captain and two-time gold medalist in the 1979 Pan-American Games.

The Ben Avery Clay Target Center is located on the grounds of the Ben Avery Shooting Facility in north Phoenix. The entrance to the Clay Target Center is off Carefree Highway, about 1.5 miles west of I-17. The address is 37016 N. Archery Drive, Phoenix, AZ 85086.

7 a.m. to 9 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday.
(Trap and skeet shooters must check in by 8:30 p.m.)
Closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday.
