Clayman is a melodic death metal album by In Flames. The album was released by Nuclear Blast in 2000. Most of the lyrics deal with depression and internal struggles. Clayman is the first In Flames album to take a real step away from the band's established songwriting technique. "Only for the Weak" is considered by many to be In Flames' most popular song. The songwriting is considerably different from the albums Colony, Whoracle, The Jester Race and Lunar Strain.
The album's cover art is based on Leonardo Da Vinci's drawing, the Vitruvian Man.
