Colegio Ponceño was founded in 1926 as Colegio Ponceño de Varones, a boys' school until 1973. Originally located in Aurora Street in downtown Ponce, Puerto Rico in 1974 was relocated to Coto Laurel, a suburb of Ponce. Colegio Ponceño is a private, Roman Catholic, coeducational, pk-12 college preparatory school located in Ponce, Puerto Rico. Being run by Piarist fathers, its current headmaster is Rev. Fr. José Basols, Sch P.
