Condredge Holloway

Condredge Holloway (born January 24, 1954 in Huntsville, Alabama) played college football at the University of Tennessee. Holloway actually preferred baseball to football. He was drafted as a shortstop by the Montreal Expos, but his mother, insisting her son attend college, refused to sign the contract (Condredge was 16, too young to sign a contract under Alabama law). Holloway began a career in professional football in 1975 in the Canadian Football League playing for the Ottawa Rough Riders, the Toronto Argonauts, and the B.C. Lions as a quarterback. In 1982 he captured the CFL's Most Outstanding Player award and in 1983, he guided the Argonauts to their first Grey Cup championship in 31 years. In 1998 Holloway was inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame.
Currently, Holloway is the assistant athletic director at the University of Tennessee.[1]
