Cornelia B. Wilbur

Cornelia B. Wilbur (1908-1992) was the psychiatrist who worked with Shirley Ardell Mason, also known as Sybil. Dr. Wilbur diagnosed and treated Mason for Dissociative Identity Disorder beginning in 1954 and continuing for 11 years.
Dr. Wilbur's diagnosis of Shirley Ardell Mason was later called into question and she was accused of manipulating Mason for financial advantage.
Despite this, she remained friends with Mason for the rest of her life.
