Dōtakun (ドータクン?) is one of the 493 fictional species of Pokémon creatures from the multi-billion-dollar[1] Pokémon media franchise – a collection of video games, anime, manga, books, trading cards and other media, created by Satoshi Tajiri. The purpose of Dōtakun in the games, anime and manga, as with all other Pokémon, is to battle both wild Pokémon, untamed creatures encountered while the player passes through various environments, and tamed Pokémon owned by Pokémon trainers.[2]
Its Japanese name is a portmanteau of the words 銅鐸 (dōtaku?), meaning bronze bell, and どんどん (dondon?), the sound it produces.

Dōtakun has the appearance of a giant steel bell with its yoke still attached. It has various dark colored designs on its body. The combination of two red colored circles and a gradient design between them give Dōtakun a face with two eyes and a mouth.

Dootakun is a Bronze Bell. In one pokedex entry, it says that a Dootakun was found at a construction site after sleeping for two millenia. Another says that eons ago, Dootakun was the God of Harvest, and could summon rain and sun. This is why it can learn Sunny Day and Rain Dance.

Dōtakun, along with its prevolution Dōmirā, possesses the attributes of a Steel/Psychic-type Pokémon (the only others who have these types are Beldum, Metang, Metagross and Jirachi). It is normally acquired by evolving Dōmirā at level 33.
Dōtakun's defense and special defense are very high, and its attack is slightly higher than its special attack. Its speed is its lowest attribute. Unlike other Steel/Psychic-type Pokémon, Dōtakun can possess two abilities that protect it from its two weakness to Ground and Fire attacks. It can either have the Levitate ability, ridding it of its weakness to ground moves, or the Heatproof ability that lowers the damage it gets from fire-type attacks.
