[edit] Lil Flip246
After having a read over several talk pages, a glance at some related articles, and some of the edits in question, I feel the same way as yourself. It' seems this editor has been given enough advice on how Wikipedia works and they just aren't taking the message(s) in. I'll drop the editors who've contacted me a note to let them know my opinion. Thanks for weighing in. -- Longhair 13:28, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Lil Flip246 again
User:Lil Flip246 is still ignoring advice given by multiple editors and admins. Take a look at the Lisa D'Amato article, for example. Not only is it filled with unsourced gossip, her citation links still don't contain the information they're supposed to be sourcing, and she still uses "I saw on it TV myself" and "Someone said it on MySpace" as sources. I would hate to think that an editor could get by with such recklessness on a grand scale simply by being persistent. wikipediatrix 21:35, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
- Most of these information is from the tv show. Lil Flip246 21:38, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Andrew Stetson
Hey!! I just created a page for Andrew Stetson. I cited the refrences, but it won't make a link to references or open the link. Could you please fix it? Thanks. Lil Flip246 19:01, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
- I see that you've fixed it. Thanks. Lil Flip246 19:11, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] mistake on tag WTC
just wanted to inform you that the photo you have posted by eva.. was definatly not taken in 1990. It must have been before that.
There is no world financial center, 5 buildings which stood in front of the WTC. They were built in the 80s, so this picture is either early 80s or late 70s —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Iplaygoodguitar (talk • contribs) 12:22, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
Sorry If i've posted this more than once
Just to correct you
The photo you tagged of the world trade center by eva is not from 1990
The world FINANCIAL center, which was built during the 80s (4 buildings) are not in the photo.
They guarded the hudson side of the center.
Meaning this photo is either from the late 70s or early 70s —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Iplaygoodguitar (talk • contribs) 12:25, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Life (magazine)
I see you have an interest in Life (magazine), or at least some of the staffers. Good work on adding those people to Wiki. Can you look at the Life (magazine) talk page, because I'm in the midst of adding quite a bit to Life's entry, and nobody seems to have any input. Perhaps you do. --K72ndst 18:46, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
- I have a question for you. In the Life (magazine) article, I'd like to put in a better photo that is actually on the Robert Capa article. Is there some Wiki rule against using the same photo in 2 different articles? I looked and don't see that rule anyplace. My aim is just to have a better cover illustration for the article. I'm still working on rewriting the history of Life (magazine) and am now thinking about having better pix in there. Thanks for the help. --K72ndst 14:59, 11 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Vizcaya
From user MiamiTom
I am attempting to create a page about Vizcaya in Miami.
The user "Deibid" seems to own the references to Vizcaya and he keeps deleting my edits, and seems to think that Vizcaya is ambiguous, when there is no ambiguity at all.
After explaining to him that Vizcaya is the proper name of the museum in Miami, and explaining to him that Natural Search Results in both Google and Overture result in the majority of searches for Vizcaya in Miami, he seems to think that somehow Vizcaya in Spain has more prominence and has refused to let me build a page for Vizcaya.
Someone a while back built pages regarding "Villa Vizcaya" but this is not the proper or colloquial usage, and he seems to want to include his all important references to Biscay in Spain. Although the root may be traced back to Spain for the name Vizcaya, or that we use the name Biscayne extensively in Miami for parks, streets, and building, seems to mean little to this demigod.
If you reference http://www.vizcayamuseum.org/ , the museum itself does not refer to itself as Villa Vizcaya, rather it refers to it simply as Vizcaya, and I attempted to post pictures of the main gate that shows that since the early 1900's when the museum was built they simply put VIZCAYA on the main entrance. Look at my contribs.
Please advise.

[edit] Talk:Bow tie
Hi,
You may have an interest, since I saw your name in the history list of the Bow tie article: There's a separate article, List of bow tie wearers and an admin is suggesting deleting it. When I looked into the Bow tie page, I found there's already a list there. I don't have an opinion on which list should remain, but one really should go. I'd appreciate your advice on the Talk:Bow tie page, if you're interested and have the time.Noroton 00:45, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] new message
Hi Doc,
My idea of polling people on what they want with the bow-tie articles hasn't exactly worked perfectly. I don't see much of a consensus for moving the list to one page or the other, so I'm going to try this: I'll cut down the list on the Bow tie main page to a summary and make sure everything is on the List of bow tie wearers page sometime late this week unless I hear a strong objection from those, like you, who have suggested otherwise. I think (hope) that's an acceptable resolution. Feel free to speak up if I'm all wet.Noroton 20:27, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] RfA thanks
Thank you very much for your support in my RfA, which passed on October 17, 2006 with a tally of 53/6/0. I am equally elated and humbled by my new capacity as administrator of Wikipedia, and I send my heartfelt thanks for your unflinching support. If you need me for anything, just ask me! [edit] Liaquat Ali Khan
I have written an article regarding Liaquat Ali Khan, a prominent leader for the Pakistan movement and the First Prime minister of Pakistan. Although it has recieved a "B" rating but that was prior to addition of the criticism and legacy section and the provision of five more references. I believe the article deserves a higher rating since it fills all the requirements for a Good Article and easily be upgraded to a Featured Article. It has relevant and tagged images, ample and very credible references, presents an unbiased view and is well written.
It would be great if you could review and point out the mistakes and give it a proper rating.

[edit] Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Elonka
Thank you for your support in my RfA. Unfortunately consensus was not reached, and the nomination was not successful. However, I do appreciate your taking the time to participate. For my part, I am still in support of the Wikipedia project, and will continue to contribute without interruption. Thanks again! --Elonka 19:26, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Signature
Hi, it has been brought to my attention that our signatures are almost identical and have confused at least one editor. I'd change mine rather than asking you to look at yours, but I've got thousands of contributions over 18 months of editing, and many established wikipedians are used to knowing that 'Doc' is me. I wonder if you'd consider using something else, or at least something else beyond simply 'Doc' (perhaps 'Doc McJ' 'DocDC' etc.) so we don't get confused. (Trust me that being mistaken for me won't necessarily do your credibility any good on Wikipedia!). As I say, I'd change mine, except it would still be all over the wiki - and many editors would still think Doc was me. Yours. --Doc 15:32, 29 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] RfA thanks
Hi Doc, and thanks for your participation at the recent RfA, which did not succeed. For those of you who expressed their support, your kind words and your trust are sincerely appreciated. For those who were opposed --especially those who offered their constructive criticism-- please accept this message as assurance that equally sincere efforts, aimed at enhancing the quality and accuracy of representations within the Wikipedia, will continue. Striving for improved collaboration and consensus will also continue, with all of your insights in mind, while applying NPOV ideals as fairly and reasonably as possible. [edit] Worth Square
I removed Worth Square from the Manhattan template, which is intended to list areas and neighborhoods in Manhattan. The article is fine, but I don't think it's appropriate to include in the template. Alansohn 03:03, 19 November 2006 (UTC)
