Dan Marsh was a professional wrestling referee and a professional wrestler most famous as Danny Davis of the World Wrestling Federation.

Dan Marsh started out in 1982 in the World Wrestling Federation as referee Danny Davis and sometimes wrestled under a mask as the jobber Mr. X.
In 1986, Davis started helping the heels to win their matches. When Tito Santana was defending the Intercontinental title against Randy "Macho Man" Savage, he allowed Savage to cheat to win the title. He was blatantly for The Hart Foundation in early 1987 during a match for the WWF World Tag Team Titles in which he ignored pinfalls by The British Bulldogs and allowed a double team in which he made the three count for the Hart Foundation. The one time that he failed to help a heel win a championship was during a steel cage WWF Championship match between Hulk Hogan and Paul Orndorff. Both Hogan and Orndorff escaped the cage simultaneously at one point, and Davis declared Orndorff the winner and new champion, only for the match to be ordered to continue afterwards (Hogan would go on to win the match).
WWF President Jack Tunney did not like his actions and stripped him of his referee duties "for life plus 10 years." Davis became "Dangerous" Danny Davis and joined Jimmy Hart and The Hart Foundation to become a wrestler. He formed a 3-man team with The Hart Foundation, in their match vs. The British Bulldogs and Tito Santana at Wrestlemania III.
Davis the wrestler feuded with The Bulldogs, Santana, George Steele, and Sam Houston. He participated with Houston in the 1988 Wrestlemania IV 20-man Battle Royale, won by Bad News Brown.
In mid-1989, Davis quit wrestling and wasn't seen for a little while and returned as an honest WWF referee on probation (kayfabe) until 1995, when he left the WWF.
Davis returned to the WWA as a heel wrestler in 2004 and uses Bret Hart's music.
