From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"David Watts" was the first single to be taken from the third studio album All Mod Cons by The Jam on 26th August 1978. The song is a cover of a Kinks track from the album Something Else By The Kinks and featured bassist Bruce Foxton on vocals.
The single reached #25 in the UK Singles Chart and was backed by "'A' Bomb In Wardour Street" that also appears on the same album.
The track is generally regarded as one of the bands best singles and saw the group establish themselves as one of the leading groups of the late 1970's era.
