East Linn Christian Academy opened its doors in 1982, founded by Harold Grove and his wife, Dorothy. The first attendance was small, five or six students per-grade, but the school has since grown. In the 2003-2004 school year ELCA educated 282 students from prekindergarten to 12th grade. Despite its small beginnings as one campus on Fairview Drive, ELCA has expanded to include the elementary, pre-k through 6th, and high school, 7th through 12th, campuses. The elementary campus is known as the "Liberty campus" or simply "Liberty" due to its location on Liberty Drive. Similarly the high school campus is called "Victory" or the "Victory campus". East Linn Christian Academy survives on donations and tuition fees. Recent renevations include: a nature trail being built by the 6th grade class at Liberty as well as a paved track and the beginnings of a gym at Victory. Until the completion of the gym ELCA home basketball and volleyball games will be held in the Seven Oak Middle School gym.

[edit] Liberty
The Liberty campus was originally two separate campuses, 1st through 7th in the current building and pre-k and kindergarten in a local church building. After the 1998-1999 school year the 7th grade was moved to the high school campus and a few years later they took the next logical step, moving the pre-k and kindergarten classes to the Liberty campus.
[edit] Victory
The Liberty campus has only one building where classes are held, where as the Victory campus has four: A hall, B hall, the left and right mods (short for modulars), and the Wonderbuilding.
The Wonderbuilding was originally built to be a bus garage but as it became clear that the building would not be used for that purpose it was dubed the Wonderbuilding because everyone "wondered" what it would be used for. The building currently houses a big room listed on maps as WB1, used for art and home ec classes, two smaller rooms that vary in purpose from year to year, restrooms, and a large room originially meant for the buses now used for auto shop.
