Elkford is a small community in southeast British Columbia.
There are two public schools Rocky Mountain Elementary School and Elkford Secondary School with a combined student population of 400 (January 2006).
A vast majority of the town work at a coal mine nearby, Fording Coal. There are approximately 3000 residents in Elkford.
