My real name is Timo Kallionpää, and I am a 21-year old engineering student from Vantaa, Finland.
[edit] Origin of my name
A direct translation would be Elmer B. Swampgiraffe. It started as an insider joke when a few of my mates wrote this stupid comic story featuring a character named Elmeri B. Suokirahvi. I don't really know how or why, but soon after that I began to be called by that name. I guess it kind of stuck ;)

Mostly I've been contributing in the area of engineering, cycling, guitar music, history and warfare. I also have a special interest in Alternative medicine, and openly admit that I'm a skeptic.
Talking about working and writing habits, I've been a bit lazy. I tend to just write in talk pages and let others do the article writing, but that'll change. If I get around to it, heh.

There is an amazing lack of articles about military communications and signal corps. I served my time as a network topology designer in the Finnish Army, so I know a little something about tactical combat networks.
