Fabricio Fuentes

Fabricio Fuentes (born October 13, 1976 in Rio Cuarto, Córdoba Province) is an Argentine football Defender currently playing for Villarreal CF in Spain.

Fuentes began his career playing for Newell's Old Boys in 1997, he left the club for a season with Quilmes in the Argentine 2nd Division before rejoining Newell's in 1998.
In 2001 Fuentes was signed for his first spell at Vélez Sársfield. In 2003 he went to French club Guingamp, but he didn't settle and returned to Vélez later that year.
In 2005 Fuentes was part of the Vélez Sársfield team that won the Argentine Primera Clausura Tournament. On the back of this success he was signed by Mexican club CF Atlas, but he only stayed one season before moving again, this time to his current club Villarreal CF.
By moving to Villarreal he joined up with former Vélez team mate Leandro Somoza and fellow Argentines Juan Román Riquelme, Rodolfo Arruabarrena, Mariano Barbosa and Gonzalo Javier Rodríguez
