The facility was open to all four grade levels in late 2000. The school’s mascot is the bulldog.

May the lofty sierra watch over you,
As you teach from your chair of gold,
And we who have heard your inspiring word,
Are the heirs to wealth untold.

[edit] Performing Arts
The music department is run by Mr. Curtis Gaessar who leads semi-professional touring Jazz bands and Jazz choirs. He and Mr. Don Wersky are the directors of the Folsom High School Marching Band.
The drama department is lead by Tamara and Mike Mosier who each teach five semesters a day of about 30 students. This dramatic student body of over 300 students performs in a fall play and spring musical with student directed and written plays showcased throughout the rest of the year. Tamara and Mike are the real brains behind the brand new, 2.5 million dollar theater that was first showcased in the year 2004.
Each year, a student trip is planned by Mr. and Mrs. Mosier to Ashland, Oregon to view performances at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. The group each year varies between 20-30 students with two to three chaperons.
