Geneva Marathon

The Geneva Marathon is an annual marathon foot-race held in Geneva, Switzerland. It draws about 5,500 participants and is held every May.
Apart from the marathon, there is also half marathon held on the same day. A time limit of 6 hours applies to the main event.
The 2006 winner of the marathon was Tesfaye Eticha (Ethiopia) in a time of 2:15.31, whilst the first female over the line was Chmiel Joanna (Poland) in a time of 2:45.07,4.
