Global Fund for Women

The Global Fund for Women is a non-profit foundation that gives grants to organizations worldwide that focus on women's human rights. Its headquarters are in San Francisco, California. It was started in 1987 by New Zealander Anne Firth Murray who served as President until her retirement in 1996.
The fund reported assets in excess of USD$20 million in fiscal year 2004/2005, while distributing awards totaling USD$7.4 million during the same period.
