Goodman Stadium
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Goodman Stadium is Lehigh University's 16,000-seat multi-purpose stadium located on its Goodman Campus in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, in the Lehigh Valley region of the state. It opened in 1988, replacing Taylor Stadium which stood in the main campus from 1914 until 1987.
The stadium is home to the Lehigh University Mountain Hawks American football team. It is had been routinely voted the best place to watch a Patriot League football game, but with Lafayette getting major renovations to Fisher Field, that should end. Located in a rural valley surounded by wooded hills, it has lots of parking and tailgate parties before games are very popular. A feature of Goodman Stadium is the words on the scoreboard, though it is not nearly as good as a JumboTron, it is still nice.
Because of the stadium and the popularity of its teams, Lehigh University normally leads the Patriot League in football attendance figures each year.
