Grammar School Guernsey

The Grammar School is a public secondary school situated in the parish of St. Andrews in Guernsey.
The school is for children aged 11-18 for both sexes and entry requires on passing the Eleven Plus examination. However secondary school students who pursue A Levels transfer to the school after GCSE's.
The current school is the result of the amalgamation of the old Girls' and Boys' Intermediate Schools. The school was opened in 1985 and the current headteacher is Jeff Smith, who succeded Dennis Balls in September 2006. The school had one student who was awarded the Victoria Cross during World War I
A new Sixth Form centre was opened in 2005.
