Obviously Grimhelm is not my real name - it is the user-name I used on various internet fora relating to Games Workshop's The Lord of the Rings Strategy Battle Game (one of my favourites being The One Ring). The word comes from Old English, and refers to a battle-helmet that covers the entire face, such as that found in Sutton Hoo.
I have been using Wikipedia since 2003, and and making small edits to articles anonymously until my formal registration on November 1, 2005. I got my first DYK article on the Main page on the eve of my first anniversary of joining, for which I have to thank User:Ghirlandajo. I am currently co-ordinating the effort to improve the quality of articles on The Lord of the Rings SBG, as well as a wide variety of history articles.
