Ground Zero was an improvised noise rock band during the 1990s lead by Otomo Yoshihide that had a large and rotating group of performers on such instruments as turntables, shamisen, koto, sampler, electric guitar and two drum kits. They are most highly regarded for their album Consume Red, on which the performers improvise around a short sample of Hojok music played by Korean holy musician Kim Seok Chul.
