[edit] About Grove Academy
Grove Academy is a high school, situated in the Broughty Ferry area of Dundee, Scotland.
[edit] The Buildings
Currently, the structure of Grove Academy is complex and not the most efficient. Accommodation is spread out over three building, with various wooden huts providing additional teaching space. The oldest of the three buildings is the main building, which is a listed building. The extension building was added in the 1970s, following an extension to the main building to celebrate Grove's centenary in the 1990s.
[edit] The Future
Plans for Grove Academy to move into a newly build, more modern high school were met with fierce criticism by parents, pupils and teachers alike, with many believing that Grove would lose a lot of its character and sense of history. However, a public-private partnership school will go ahead, with building due to start in the summer of 2006.
