Halton Moor
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Halton Moor is a district of east leeds, 3 miles (5 km) from Leeds City Centre, situated between Killingbeck to the north, Osmondthorpe to the west and Halton and Colton to the east. It is also close to Cross Gates and Whitkirk.
The area is mainly a council housing estate of approximately 1000 homes with high rise blocks. The estate and area has serious problems of crime and anti-social behaviour. Throughout the city of Leeds, the area generally does not have a good reputation and the authorities and local people have found it hard to shake off. [citation needed]
