Homeboys in Outer Space was a UPN sitcom , starring Flex Alexander and Darryl Bell, that aired from 1996 to 1997 before being cancelled. It was the target of a flurry of protests from the NAACP and other civil-rights organizations, but low ratings likely contributed more to the comedy's demise.
