Howick, Northumberland
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Howick (pronounced not, as commonly believed, like Hawick- 'Hoick' - but as HOW-ick) is a village in Northumberland, between Boulmer and Craster. It is just inland from the North Sea, into which Howick burn flows, from Howick Hall. Howick Hall Gardens are open to the public.
Howick was one of the original homes of the Earl Grey, after whom the famous tea is named. The original Earl Grey tea by Twinings was blended for the Howick water.
