"If You Wear That Velvet Dress" is the tenth track from U2's 1997 album, Pop. Written originally for the Zooropa album, it was later set aside for future albums.
In the Pop sessions, "Velvet Dress" was slated to be a B-Side for the Discothèque single until Adam Clayton and producer Howie B revised it in the final days before the single's release and turned it into a full fledged album track. [1]
It was released in a lounge version with Bono and Jools Holland, in 2002.
