Igor Tudor (born April 16, 1978 in Split) is a football (soccer) defender who currently plays for Juventus of Italian Serie B. He is a regular in the Croatian national team.
Tudor started his professional career at Hajduk Split in 1995. After three seasons in Hajduk, he was acquired by Juventus in 1998. He would spend six full seasons in Juve before he went on loan to Siena in January 2005. Following Juventus' relegation to Serie B and expiration of his loan contract with Siena, Tudor returned to Juventus for whom he will be playing in 2006./07. season. His contract with Juventus expires in 30 June, 2007.
Tudor was part of the Croatian squad at the 1998 FIFA World Cup but missed the 2002 FIFA World Cup with injury. Tudor won the Croatia's Player of the Year Award in 2002. [1] He played for his country at Euro 2004, though unfortunately scored an own goal. Tudor was also included in Croatia's 2006 FIFA World Cup squad.
In late August 2005 Tudor turned down a move to Bolton Wanderers in the English Premiership.
