International Bowl
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The International Bowl is an college American football bowl game played in Toronto, Ontario. The first game will be played on January 6, 2007 at the Rogers Centre. It will be the first post-season bowl game to be played outside the United States since the Bacardi Bowl in Cuba, and the first football game of significance to be played in Canada under American rules since Simon Fraser University left the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics after the 2001 season (Canadian universities play under Canadian football rules). The game will match up teams from the Big East Conference and the Mid American Conference and will be televised live on ESPN2 in the United States and TSN in Canada.
