Islam in Norway

Islam is the second largest religious community in Norway with over 2% of the population. Islamic communities are the largest of the registered communities in Norway. In 2004, the 92 Islamic congregations counted almost 80,838 members. The Church of Norway is the largest religious community in Norway.
The Muslim community consists mostly of Muslim immigrants and their children born in Norway estimated at 115,000 people. The members Muslim communities are: Pakistanis 26,286; Iraqis 17,295; Somalis 15,586; Bosnian 15,216; Iranians 13,506; Turks 12,971 and others.
