Jacob Giesbrecht

Jacob Giesbrecht is a lawyer and activist in Manitoba, Canada. He ran for the Green Party of Canada in the 2004 Canadian federal election.
Raised in rural Manitoba, Giesbrecht moved to Winnipeg in 1986 and has resided there since that time. He is a lawyer with the firm of Inkster Christie Hughes, specializing in estate, unemployment and labour law. Giesbrecht has also been involved in volunteer organizations, including a number of anti-poverty groups in Winnipeg's downtown core.
In 2004, Giesbrecht was the Green Party's candidate in the riding of Kildonan—St. Paul. He received 756 votes, or about 2% of the total votes in the riding.
