James Guthrie (record producer)

James Guthrie is a British record producer best known for his work with the band Pink Floyd. Guthrie has worked on their biggest selling albums, The Wall as engineer and co-producer and has subsequently worked with the band in some form or another on all future products and has supervised the remasterings of the band's catalog and re-mixing to 5.1 Surround Sound. He received a Grammy for Pink Floyd's "The Wall".
James Guthrie has also produced Queensrÿche's 1984 album The Warning and Judas Priest's Hell Bent for Leather and "Better By You Better Than Me" from 1978's Stained Class. Plus, lesser known cult bands best known for sophisticated adult oriented sounds, like Runner and The Movies. Guthrie also mastered Kate Bush's 2005 double album, Aerial.
