James Hook (producer)

A native of Kansas, but currently resides in Houston, TX. Younger years were spent in various unsigned bands, touring the United States. Owns and operates Skullsessions Studios out of Houston, TX.
Known by most as "HOOK", he produces albums (mostly heavy-rock and pop) in Houston and many other cities in the Mid and South-West.

The 2006 CD titled "Protection", the first full-length release from LoneStar PornStar, was recorded, mixed, and mastered at Skullsessions Studios during the summer of 2006. LoneStar PornStar is managed by Broken Record Productions. Broken Record Productions (also handles, The Might Orq, Prognosis, Glenna Bell) is currently a label distributed by BCD Music Group. The "Protection" CD is slated for release and nationwide distribution in late 2006.
BCD Music Group handles distribution for other artists such as Ludacris, Missy Elliot, Chamillionaire, Lil Flip, Mike Jones, Paul Wall, Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, Bizzy Bone, Slim Thug, Bun B, Dj Screw, Lloyd Banks and Lil Jon. In 2006, BCD added their rock/metal division and LoneStar PornStar was one of the first few acts to be signed, as well as MARZI (formerly of Superjoint Ritual), another Houston rock act, and national act Paparoach.
