Jan Mühlstein (born 1949 in Most (Czech Republic)) is a Jewish German politician. He is leader of the Union progressiver Juden in Deutschland (Union of Progressive Jews in Germany).
Mühlstein works as a business journalist in Munich. He is a founding member of the Liberal Jewish Community Munich "Beth Shalom" and was its chairperson until 2005.
Mühlstein committed himself to promote religious plurality in Judaism.
