Janaye Ingram

Janaye Ingram is a beauty queen from New Jersey who has competed in the Miss USA pageant.
Ingram was crowned Miss New Jersey USA 2004 in Jersey City, New Jersey in late 2003. It was her second attempt at the title as she had competed for the title the previous year and was placed in the top 12. She later represented New Jersey in the Miss USA 2004 pageant held in Los Angeles, California in April 2004, but failed to place. The pageant was won by Shandi Finnessey of Missouri.
Ingram appeared in the movie Road Trip with Tom Green. She is originally from Camden, New Jersey, but later moved to Cherry Hill. She graduated in 2000 from Clark Atlanta University with a B.A. in Psychology. She and fellow 2004 Miss USA state representative, Stacey Lee (Michigan) were college friends.
Ingram has worked as a freelance writer and public speaker. In her spare time, she models and works as a consultant for fashion show productions. Janaye would like to create a non-profit organization focusing on youth excellence and development. The organization would be the first step in achieving her ultimate goal, which is to own a magazine geared to the empowerment of minority teenage girls. Her magazine would focus on self-appreciation and self-awareness. Janaye has worked with organizations in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Georgia to generate literacy awareness and has received numerous awards and recognition for her efforts.
