Janice Litman Goralnik née Hosenstein was a fictional recurring character in the popular television sitcom Friends, played by Maggie Wheeler.

With her irritating, nasal voice, heavy New York accent, obnoxious laugh, and her trademark cry of "OH - MY - GOD!", she quickly became the bane of her on-again, off-again boyfriend Chandler Bing's existence. They broke up (and got back together) no fewer than four times. She also irritated Chandler's roommate Joey, who considered it a personal achievement that he had once spent the entire day (dubbed "Joey and Janice's DAY OF FUN" by her) with her and not killed her.
Chandler's final attempt to leave her once and for all involved his claiming he was moving to Yemen (address: 15 Yemen Road, Yemen), and then actually boarding a plane and flying to Yemen (albeit reluctantly) just to prove to her that he is not lying. She had a one-night stand with Ross (at which point she thought Chandler was still in Yemen), but ended it because, ironically, she felt he was too whiny.
Two examples of Chandler's eccentric, desperate behavior with Janice involved him throwing a bag of barley at her in a grocery store before running away and downing more than half a dozen espressos while repeatedly trying to break up with her.
When Rachel had her baby at the end of season 8, Janice was sharing the delivery room, conveniently married to a deaf man named Sid. Janice later appeared in season 9 having a fertility exam at the same clinic as Chandler and Monica, much to their dismay.
Her final appearance in the series was in "The One Where Estelle Dies", when Monica and Chandler were choosing a new house. She almost bought the house next door to Monica and Chandler's, but was dissuaded when Chandler lied and said he still had feelings for her and suggested that they could carry on an affair if they were neighbors. Monica had also used this lie three years before, to explain to Janice why she'd prefer she not attend Chandler and Monica's wedding.
Janice is one of only four secondary characters to have appeared in every season of Friends (if you count her uncredited voice-over in an episode of Season Six, when Chandler gives her Valentine's mix-tape to Monica for Valentine's Day), the others being Jack and Judy Geller and Gunther. Apart from David the Scientist Guy (Hank Azaria) & Richard Burke (Tom Selleck), Janice is also the only guest character who, having broken up with one of the regulars, continued to make appearances throughout the show. The distance between her first episode and her final appearance (230 episodes) is longer than the run of every character, not including the main six.
