John W. Forney

Born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania on September 30 1817, John W. Forney was the US Secretary of the Senate from July 15, 1861 - June 4, 1868. He was an active newspaper publisher during the time, and a former Clerk of the House.
He died on December 9, 1881.
