Kaçkar Dağı

The northeast ridge route begins from the village Yukarı Kavrun. (Istanbul-Pazar by bus, Pazar-Ayder-Kavrun by minibus). Day One - start from Kavrun, walk north along the left side of the river. Turn left at the sign <- Mezovit (the first big valley on the left). The camp is just below the glaciers. From Kavrun it should take 4-6 hours. Day Two - start as early as you can. Walk along the left side of the left glacier. Climb to the Pass. After that you will find stone pyramids leading to the summit. It should take 6-9 hours to get to the top and 5-7 hours to go down.
