Klaten

Klaten is a city and regency in Central Java.
Klaten borders on Boyolali regency in the North, Sukoharjo and Wonogiri regency in the East, and Yogyakarta special administrative zone to the South and West. The structure Candi Prambanan, one of the biggest Hindi structures in Indonesia, is in the province.
The area was damaged in the May 2006 Java earthquake, and is located near to the active volcano Mt. Merapi.
